Please note that this process only applies to consumers who purchased their QuickBack 2 or 3 prior to April 10, 2009. If you purchased your QuickBack after that date, your product is not impacted by this recall; there is no need to return the unit and complete this page.

If you purchased your QuickBack 2 or 3 before April 10, please take a few minutes to share some information about yourself. By providing this information, you’ll allow us to provide you with the product replacement option that best fits your needs, as quickly as possible. We want to get you and your bikes back on the road as soon as possible!

Please note that if you originally purchased a QuickBack 2, you can receive a King Joe 2 or QuickBack 2. If you purchased a QuickBack 3, you can receive a King Joe 3 or QuickBack 3.

Remove Side Knob Remove Top Knob

Following is the process Yakima will follow as soon as you complete and submit this form:

  1. Yakima will send you a letter and an envelope, addressed to Yakima.
  2. You will need to remove the two red knobs (click here for detail diagram of these knobs), and place them in the provided envelope. Instructions on how to remove these knobs will be included in the mailing we send to you. Please note that we require this to ensure that the product is not used after this recall. We are required to do this by law.
  3. Yakima will send you a check (for $25 or $50), and a King Joe 2, King Joe 3, QuickBack 2 or QuickBack 3, upon receipt of the knobs explained above.
